Williams Interactive (WMS) have released both of their Black Knight slots online (see above for casinos that have this and other WMS slots to play for real money) but of the two, I prefer this, the original game. The follow-up - Black Knight II - is more like their Bierhaus slot, a 5x4 Deluxe game but this original version has a higher variance. You'll also find this version is much more common in land-based casinos and as the Online Casinos Vegas name suggest, it is more suited to this site as a result.

You won't win a lot from the Black Knight slot during the base game unless you line up the Kings - which is incredibly rare and even then doesn't pay as much as you'd hope! The wild symbol is only active on reels 2, 3 and 4 as-well so no chance of a big wild win! But when you get the free spins, then the fun starts! Sometimes, anyway!

During the 7 free spins the wild symbols expand and stick. So if you are lucky enough to land 2 or 3 of them on the first couple of spins than you are probably in for a big payday! Even with all 3 for a couple of spins it is usually very rewarding but obviously the "Holy Grail" involved all 3 wilds landing on the first free spin! Then you get 7 spins with 2 full wild reels!

To be honest, where the criticism comes in Black Knight is in the base game. Unlike some other WMS slots like Raging Rhino and the Zeus 3 slot for example, you don't have much excitement in the base game except for triggering the free spins. A lot of players will probably prefer those latter two slots along with old IGT slots like Cleopatra for exactly that reason in fact: high volatility isn't for everyone!

But if you don't mind long lean periods in your games, then the Black Knight slot is potentially very rewarding and one of the more popular WMS slots as a result.
