Below are a couple of links to reviews of casinos I have played at and can recommend. There are a whole load more dotted around the site which are also safe casinos to play, and I really should start adding some more casino reviews to this page at some time. In fact dammit, I will! My resolution for 2010!

For US players, the choice of good online casinos is somewhat lower than it used to be before the dreaded UIGEA Act was proposed in October 2006. Ironically, the act itself stopped well short of making online casino gambling illegal and instead sought to put the onus on banking institutions within the USA to stop US residents from depositing funds at online gambling operations. In the wake of this, many casinos pulled out of the US market and as a result, only a few safe operators were left in. As of November 2010, the regulations proposed by the Act had not only not been implemented, but a delay of 6 months was accepted by the Government, indicitive of the fact that the regs are almost unenforcable.

If you are from the US and looking for places to play then the USA online casinos page here at OCV shows some of the safest places you can still gamble at online while for residents outside the US use teh grids dotted around teh site or the main one on the online casinos page. I am hopeful that US regulation currently under proposal will take effect at some point and more online casinos with good reputations will be able to re-enter the US market, but only time will tell. You'll be the first to know if you sign up to the casino news.
