Vegas and land-based slots players will be very familiar with IGT slots
even if you aren't aware of it! And now that IGT (UK) own the online casino software house Wagerworks,
IGT slot games are gradually coming online. In fact, newer slots like the fantastic
IGT Star Trek slot are really starting to show IGT moving in a new direction
and you can play it right here at OCV for free too!
The downside is that IGT have a strict "No USA" policy
so the options are limited for US residents, even in "free play" mode. But it's not
all doom and gloom for US players as Online Casinos Vegas brings you the IGT classic
Cleopatra Slot to play for free. Watch out too for the new WMS slot
games that are on offer at Jackpot Party Casino.
While Cleo is the only IGT slot game that US players can play here right now, check out the
homepage of Online Casinos Vegas for some other excellent slot games with very similar
features.... (continued below grid) »
Online Casinos featuring IGT slots
For everyone else, this site has quite a few IGT slots now, all available to play for free here via
a browser and with no registration required. I've put up some of my favourites
including the new-to-online Pharaoh's Fortune slot (the IGT
version rather than the rather basic and uncompelling Microgaming version), the cool Cleopatra 2
and the 40-payline version of Wolf Run, a slot which just bit my ass hard when
I was staying at the Venetian in Macau last time out! Thankfully the RTP is
slightly better online at around 95%. There is also the popular "Tumbling Reels" slot
from IGT called Davinci Diamonds which will be familiar to a
lot of players I am sure. IGT have started to use the Tumbling Reels concept in a few other slots
including another online slot game called "Dungeons & Dragons Crystal Caverns". I don't have that one
here at OCV right now but it is available at most of the online casinos
that use the Wagerworks/IGT platform.
Aside from the IGT Cleopatra Slots, the others that I
play a good deal are the Elvis Slots, 2 slots with
different themes. IGT patented their "Multi-strike" concept that they use on their
superb video poker game of the same name
and applied to to the Elvis brand to create the 3-tier
Elvis Multistrike Slot which I love, despite
not having free spins. Then they came up with Elvis -
A Little More Action which is high variance and similar to Wolf Run, but with 50
paylines.
More recent IGT slots to come online include the lesser known Super
Hoot Loot slot which has a unique bonus round, the more familar
Treasures of Troy slot which is now fairly common
in UK land based casinos and uses the patented IGT Multiway system, and an older slot that
will be more familiar to USA players, Texas Tea. As far as IGT slots
go the latter I find particularly boring, but the forfer 2 are decent free spins slots.
It's worth also looking at one of two of the slots that aren't actually IGT slots as
such but originally came from the Wagerworks stable. Although that said, 2011 saw a re-branding excercise
by IGT to essentialy drop the Wagerworks name in favour of direct IGT branding. Thus, games like
the 50,000 Pyramid are now subtly labbeled IGT. The Pyramid slot is one of my
original favourites and has a unique free spin/multiplier feature when you get 3
scatters. It's also got a cousin, the 100,000 Pyrmaid available which is slightly better but has a
higher volatility.
The most recent online slots to be launched by Wagerworks/IGT are more UK focused. Thee
include Treasures of Troy and one of my personal
favourite IGT slots, the Kitty Glitter slot with
it's stacked symbols and extra wilds in the free spins.
If you are unable to play the IGT slots due to location, then you might find the videos I
have done featuring the bonus rounds at the IGT Slots UK site which may be of interest. All the online slots that IGT have
released through the Wagerworks platform are featured.
Casinos With IGT Slots
Note that the online casinos above carry all of the IGT slots on this site, but
none accept US players. My personal favourite is Blue Square as they do "instant" cashouts to Neteller, but because all
online casinos using Wagerworks software have to be licenced in the strict jurisdiction of Alderney,
they are all top quality operators.
You might also be interested to learn that Kerching casino is actually owned by IGT through their Barcrest brand.
If you are USA based then this IGT list is a bit uaeless as you won't be able to sign up and play
unfortunately, but I have put together a list of alternative online casinos
you can check out. Or just click the casino banners as you play the games around the site.
WMS Slots
Until September 2010, apart from the odd port of a Barcrest slot or Novomatic game, IGT have pretty
much dominated the online slots market when it comes to land-based crossover games. However in September
2010 the manufacturer WMS came online with a few of their slot gaes including the Palace of Riches II and
the Zeus slots which many Vegas gamblers will be familiar with. It is anticipated
that they will add Star Trek and Wizard of Odds in 2011 and if we're lucky we may even see the amazing
Lord Of The Rings slot arrive at some point too.
The WMS slots are quite different to IGT slots - in fact I would say that some are more innovative - with
some fantastic bonus rounds and the Super Respin feature that has become a trademark of WMS games. You can't
go to a Vegas casino with WMS games and NOT here the distinctive sound of the respins in action on games
like Zeus II!
