Jackpot Party Casino (now Slots Magic)
Most Vegas-bound slots players will know the Super Jackpot Party slot from
WMS Gaming, a leading progressive jackpot game that is pretty popular. Well in 2011, WMS themselves launched Jackpot Party casino to players in the UK, Belgium, Swedish, Finnish and Icelandic audiences which provided online access to a host of their famous slots including the Wizard Of Oz, several Star Trek slots, games from the Hot Hot Super Respin series including Griffin's Gate, Plataea and Hearts Of Venice plus G+ games like Palace Of Riches II, the original Zeus slot and G+ Deluxe games, Kronos and Zeus III. Even MoneyBurst games like Glitz and the Bruce Lee slot are also available - and Super Jackpot Party itself of course!
In late 2013, WMS decided to cease B2C operations following their sale to Scientific Games (so it was a SciGames decision really I guess) and they sold Jackpot Party casino to EGO who rebranded it as Slots Magic. The games themselves are licenced in Alderney although that's probably no surprise bearing in mind WMS are a huge and trusted brand in any case. In fact, all of the online casinos that carry IGT slots are also licenced here. There are a good range of deposit and cashout options available at Jackpot Party including all the usual debit and credit cards along with the popular eWallets like Neteller and Moneybookers.
There are several styles of Wizard Of Oz slots in land-based casinos - White Witch and Black Witch being the 3D ones I have played - and the online slots include the the "Wicked Riches", "Ruby Slippers" and "Emerald City" variants. I guess the main downside is that playing these games online, you'll miss out on the Bose stereo seats that accompany them in the land-based casinos (surround-sound in the headrests!), but some of that series, most notably "Ruby Slippers" in my opinion are great slot games anyway.
With the switch to Slots Magic, a few of the games have been removed so for example, Spinning Streak games like John Wayne and Riches Of The Amazon have gone although there are others still available. They weren't my favourite type of slot to be honest but I can see why they would have their fans. They are certainly original but the fact that other slot game manufacturers haven't copied these is quite telling in my opinion.
Overall, I think it's brilliant that WMS Gaming finally joined IGT in releasing their slot games online. Besides Slots Magic, WMS also license some of their their slots out to other online casinos - I'd imagine that when the USA regulation is finally sorted there will be some pressure, not to mention some potentially lucrative licences, to licence them to the Vegas Casinos as they come online. It will be interesting to see whether their own Jackpot Party online casino will have stolen a march by that time.
Since rebranding from Jackpot Party Casino to Slots Magic, new WMS slots have been added, including Raging Rhino, Montezuma, Amazon Queen (G+ Deluxe), Bruce Lee Dragon Tale, Fire Queen (Double Money Burst), Spartacus & Giant's Gold (Colossal reels), Jackpot Block Party and many others. In addition, the Throne Of Games promotion is in full swing on many WMS slots. Click the picture below to enter.
