Some slot games become so popular over the time that they become synonymous with a manufacturers brand, the Quick hit series of games from Bally is probably the industry best example of this. Whilst nearly all the games in the series are available for online play at many casinos, they started off as just another 5 reel slot machine in Vegas casinos which developed a cult following over the years. It’s hard to imagine a casino in the US, or even worldwide for that matter, which doesn’t have at least one of the Quick Hit machines in stock on the slot floor.

There are now a number of games in the range encompassing titles like Quick Hit Pro, Quick Hit Las Vegas and Quick Hit Black Gold. All loosely following the same 5x3 reel format and offer between 25-40 pay-lines, the symbols remain pretty much the same from game to game as does the audio and graphics style. The major difference is how the wilds are used differently on some titles and that around half are medium variance whilst the other half tend towards a slightly higher volatility level of play, only the Quick Hit Platinum version currently offers a Jackpot which can really be considered worthy of the name.

The Quick hit series is essentially a slightly more modern take on the classic fruit machines of old, with familiar casino sound effects and traditional symbols such as Cherries, Bars, Bells and Sevens. It will be uninspiring to many video slot players of the new generation but old school players and fans of the one armed bandits which were the staple of Vegas casinos for so many years will instantly feel right at home on this slots game series.

With the popularity of modern online casino gaming and Bally’s known innovation in technology and apps, which are used throughout many major casinos, it was only a matter of time before these games were available online. All are open free to play though sadly US players outside of New Jersey will be unable to play them for real cash. For now US based players are still confined to RTG casinos and other brands which accept online play from the states.

As is nearly always the case with online versions of real casino slot games, the bet range is the biggest change from the original physical machine. The coin range on the online version of Quick Hit Platinum gets an increase to a max bet of 450.00 credits widening its appeal to even the most serious of high roller players, low rollers can still play all lines with a low per line bet of just 0.01 credit.

For fans of the Quick Hit series looking to play online, I would suggest taking a look at either RTG’s Fruit Frenzy or the Cash Bandits slot. Both have the familiar 5x3 reel format offered by Quick Hits, the former has a similar Fruit theme whilst the latter is a great introduction to the video slot style which can be played by players from around the world, including the USA.
