IGT's White Orchid slot was released to online casinos on June 26th 2010 and is a clone of the popular
Treasures Of Troy, a 1024 slot game that uses IGT's Multiway Extra
patent. What does this mean? Well it means these two slots are unique. There are 5 reels and 20
symbols in view on White Orchid and every symbol is effectively a reel. Potentially, this means
that you could get the same symbol in view in every window. So think of every symbol as being
stacked and you get the gist.
There is a wild symbol on the White Orchid slot, although it only appears on reels 2 - 5. There
are no scatter symbols, but there is a bonus symbol on reel 3 and if two of these land in
the 4 windows on that reel simultaneously you get the free spins bonus. White Orchid has been
at land-based casinos for some time, and while I think Multiway slots perhaps aren't as
popular as the normal 5 reel ones, they are still entertaining. Note though that they
also have a high volatility rating so play carefully! Check out the Vegas slots
page for more information on IGT games.
Being pretty much a clone of Treasures of Troy, the White Orchid slots have exactly the same expected
return percentages (RTP). This is set to 94.93%, regardless of which of the
IGT casinos you choose to play at, which is pretty much bang on the
average as online slots go and usually a fair bit better then the slot machines on the Vegas strip.
