The first Dungeons and Dragons slot (Fortress of Fortunes) was released at the end of April 2009 by IGT and added to
the slots directory here at OCV shortly after. The D&D Crystal Caverns slot (above) offers
something a bit different, graphically at least. The bonus round is still a "free spins" bonus, but with
this slot you enter the dungeon and play through different levels to add more free spins and multipliers as you
go. On each level, you could encounter the Dragon...if you do, you have to roll a score that is higher than
the dragons to proceed to the next level. Once the dragon beats you, you leave the dungeon and start the
free spins bonus. A nice touch in the bonus is that you get stacked wilds added to the reels.
This is actually one of two versions of the Dungeons and Dragons slot game that IGT have released online,
the other using the Tumbling Reels concept found in their popular Davinci Diamonds
slot game. This version is straplined "Fortress of Fortune" while the newer version is dubbed "Crystal Caverns".
They differ a little in payout percentages with the expected return on this version above being 94.50% and the Dungeons & Dragons Crystal Caverns slot having a
slightly higher 94.94% payout at all the online casinos listed above. But
the Fortress of Fortune version version is very slightly lower variance (lower risk).
